  3. Substitution (positive & negative values)

  4. Solving one-step and two-step equations

  5. Expanding simple brackets

  6. Translating patterns into algebraic rules

  1. Translating English → algebra

  2. Multi-step worded problems (ratio, money, motion, mixtures)

  3. Problem-solving strategies (tables, diagrams, backwards steps)
